Programs

Toddlers

The toddler program is designed to offer children between the ages of approximately 15 to 24 months the opportunity to participate in language development, art, music and rhythm, dramatic play, building and construction as well as sand and water activities.  The toddler classroom is set up in play areas so the child may “work” while learning through freedom of choice.

Two Year Olds

In our two-year-old program, we focus on rapidly developing language skills and becoming more independent. Large motor development is improving as they learn to run, jump and climb.  They are also learning to self-regulate their emotions and follow simple instructions.  Most children also begin the process of potty training

Three Year Olds

In our three-year-old program, we foster their new-found curiosity.  They are given many opportunities to explore their world and ask questions.  They continue to develop large motor as well as beginning to develop fine motor skills by sorting, cutting and using a variety of art materials.  They are also given ample chances to work on pre-writing, pre-math and pre-literacy skills to prepare them for the Pre-K classroom.  Our three-year-old classes participate in chapel with the Children’s Minister monthly.

Pre-K

Our Pre-K program focuses on developing Kindergarten Readiness skills. Their cognitive and language development is supported by carefully prepared and executed lesson plans.  While this program is more structured, it still includes time for free play and social interaction.  We also incorporate the Second Step curriculum to help them navigate and define the emotions they experience each day. Throughout the year, they are taught a sense of community and to love their neighbor.  Our Pre-K classes also participate in chapel with the Children’s Minister monthly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What curriculum do you use?

Creative Curriculum- It allows our teaching staff the freedom to explore topics that are relevant and interesting to their students.

Are there potty training requirements?

We prefer children to be potty-trained when they enter our 3-year-old program, but it is not a requirement.  We will work with your child right where they are.

What do we need to send?

All children should have a complete change of clothes as accidents can happen.  We have baby wipes in the classroom but you do need to send you child with his/her own pull-ups labeled with their name.

How are snacks handled?

Each class has snack time between 10-10:30 each day.  Parents rotate bringing snack in for the entire class.  All items must be store bought, individually packaged and juice must be 100% fruit juice. Water is also always available.
